References are often to 'Jesus' without the Christ tag, specifically because they refer to a human teacher of wisdom.

I do not represent Unitarianism. Some may... but most talk about Jesus CHRIST. They connect with Jesus just as say Buddhists connect with Budda and Sikhs connect with Guru Nanak and Muslims connect with Mohammaed.... it's a connection that goes beyond intellectual ramblings and ranking systems.

really this shows how much you know about the church you claim to represent...

.......or are the Unitarians just really another obsession like the Anglicans? something to make you feel better when you knock em downAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5449677811690616608.post-26060724196888420802012-07-26T23:04:19.125+02:002012-07-26T23:04:19.125+02:00What are you on about? If Jesus is not the Christ, on what basis does he lead a league table (to be supreme) and why treat him like some follow a football team?Pluralist (Adrian Worsfold)https://www.blogger.com/profile/01922153724523820866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5449677811690616608.post-15821118639532264662012-07-26T18:04:59.300+02:002012-07-26T18:04:59.300+02:00"It's a nonsense and to be finished. But ..."It's a nonsense and to be finished. But then, of course, it is goodbye to Christianity. Because, no matter what Christian Unitarians say, Christianity is the idea that Jesus is the Christ, and not some league table winner ethical bloke - because, on that, we don't know and it is rather second hand to the ethical point anyway and you don't follow some bloke like you follow a football team."

Ahhh, a good disclaimer - if the Christian on the receiving end of your critique says "well I don't believe that"... you retort with, "ah but then you're not a real Christian"... kind of puts you in league with certain religious types that does...

so much for Unitarian tolerance and understanding...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
