He has lost the power to infuriate me or to inspire me and I can't quite see that anyone will care much about what he had to say.<br /><br />The gay issue has become a hug Gordian knot for the CoE and for most of the Anglican Communion and it will take someone fresh, not jaded, not tangled, not part of the knot to cut through it.<br /><br />Rowan is clearly not that man. He has opted for the Catholic concept of church unity as his main goal instead.<br />I happen to think it is a false goal, a misguided goal.
