If so, then the sooner Lambeth proclaims it's dissociation from such an ecclesial rag-tag, the better.

The Gospel inclusiveness of the Lord Jesus Christ deserves to be preserved from such hubris.Father Ronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17062632692873621258noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5449677811690616608.post-44902313398821141502008-01-04T02:54:00.000+01:002008-01-04T02:54:00.000+01:00There has always been a dynamic among a minority t...There has always been a dynamic among a minority towards a perceived purity in every movement, which means regarding something as pollution. It is better if they can link to a grand theme for whatever is the pollution they escape. These movements are inevitably small despite big aspirations; most people live in the world of mess and compromise, where making good is a more difficult task.Pluralist (Adrian Worsfold)https://www.blogger.com/profile/01922153724523820866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5449677811690616608.post-29168957301288877522008-01-03T22:22:00.000+01:002008-01-03T22:22:00.000+01:00I'm just relieved that at last, the conservative e...I'm just relieved that at last, the conservative element within Anglicanism (whom I respect) is peeling off from the Darbyite evangelical end with their crass and distorting theologies based on hermeneutical moonshine. Years ago I wrote to Madeline Bunting (then religious affaris at the Guardian) arguing that not enough attention was neing given to the distorting effects of Scofield-led dispensationalism on Church and world affairs. At last people are starting to see these things for what they are.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
