Yet you seem to be moving away from belief and observance and I seem to be moving toward them, in a way... I've started attending church services after years away and am far more comfortable with some prayers than I was, say, this time last year. (Still won't say Apostles Creed or take communion, though.) <BR/><BR/><I>if there is anything 'else' spiritually it doesn't feature in ordinary discourse and makes little difference beyond speculation.</I><BR/><BR/>I'm not sure if you're talking about an afterlife, here, or God. <BR/><BR/>I'm reserving judgment on any sort of afterlife, but I have a very strong belief in God as creator, that doesn't seem to go away. I don't claim it's rational, and I don't try to convince anyone else of the existence of God. But for me, God exists and made/makes everything, and that is truer than anything else I know.<BR/><BR/>What I am less sure of is God's mercy and love. Those are less accessible to me. But I'm getting to a point where I feel I must live <I>as if they are true</I> even if I'm not entirely sure.
