Barton Blog

The positive heart in the privilege of established English Anglicanism is (hopefully) not all this internal ideology bashing but its parish outreach and connections, and all those social events that can stretch out into the town of a church and meet people where they are. Such would still happen with disestablishment! So here is lightning quick upload of pictures about the Garden Party on Saturday 4 July in the locality's weblog just brought to my attention, including a particularly fetching picture of the local Priest-in-Charge squaring up to a member of the stuffed animal kingdom.

Is that David Rowett, who used to be a Thinking Anglicans regular? Wonderful picture! I enjoyed his posts, which tended to be more relaxed than many at TA.

It is, and generally he can tackle issues with a touch of humour.

If you remember, give him my regards, would you? Always enjoyed his posts, as I said. Younger than I imagined.
