Exclusive (Again)

Removing some layers of paint at the old chapel at Lambeth Palace produced this image upon the wall, said to be from 902. Notice the blue that has remained, suggesting wealth and power, although much could be from discolouration. Experts think this could be St. Benedict.

It is seen best when clicked on. And below was found on the floor of St. Mary's Barton when some dodgy planks were removed from between some pews excluded from use. It could be a leading Roman or Anglo-Saxon citizen, but no one is quite sure who he is. No need to click on this one: he's as close up here as there.

Enjoy the day.
